Good day to all the Wannabees
One day late but had a WPCA meeting last night and thus thought I would have some constructive news to distribute
Alas no, there is still a conflict of interest in the WP.
WPCA and PPA seem to have the same status at CSA. PPA is seen as a province and has thus got the same voting rights as WPCA. This is weird as they are neither a club nor a provincial representative body but rather a race management body.
They also have the right to apply to CSA on behalve of riders for cyclosport licences. This situation is impossible to manage but seems to be a way that CSA got PPA to buy into their ideas on how to manage cycling in SA or specifically in the WP
WPCA has thus been mandated by the clubs to set up a meeting with PPA and CSA to sort this out !! ?
On the local front we have heard of yet another accident during the race on Sunday. Two club members were involved but luckily came out with only scratches and bruises. Get well soon Tim and Wouter
Introspection is always a good and positive thing. I had 4 calls from riders who were either involved or near the fall last Sunday. Thanks for the positive feedback and the support in what we do.
