Hi Everyone,

Warmish this past week and much to my disgust and dismay, with all the training I am doing, I have barely managed to loose a kilogram. Do I really have to cut back on the SLAP CHIPS and beer after 5/6 hrs in the Berge?? Dink nie so nie.

I trust that u are all raring to get going on the Argus programme, so without any further gekarn here we go.

Week 1/6

Mon 29/1 REST
Tues 30/1 Yellow Zone plus 80% 6 x 3min intervals West rd
Wed 31/1 Recovery ride LSD 1hr Small Blade
Thur 1/2 Blue Z 70/80% 4 x 6min intervals Water/works
Frid 2/2 REST
Sat 3/2 3hrs LSD
Sun 4/2 “ or Fun Ride

Meeting at Waterstone 5.30am sharp(w/days and 6.00am w/ends) and LIGHTS PLEASE.

Baie van julle is baie fiks op die stadiom en ander moet nog aan die gang kom. Doesn’t matter. Get going!!

Remember, we need to get the recipe right.
What u eat; what u drink; what u think; what u breathe.

Problems/opportunities? Bel maar.

Goedgaan,

Ek.

Hi Everyone,

Nog n week is verby en January is amper iets van die verlede.

All just about back to normal and the groups are getting bigger over w/ends as is the custom this time of the year, but isn’t that just great. Many new faces and welcome again to all of u.

Well this past w/end we were pretty busy as usual. League race (the cobra) took place and several were there. The “Manne”starting to jockey for placings in the groups and a lot of the Elites are building up for the Giro which is about 5 weeks away. We will be privileged to be able to have of the Giro stages on our doorstep .I will keep u posted. Something that I believe we should support as the local boys will have their hands full with several overseas riders taking part.

Several in our midst are training for the Epic and many, many hrs are spent in the saddle, veral oor naweke. Being part of it we are privileged to be riding in some awesomely beautiful countryside maar HEL, DIS KLIPPE KOU.

Some of the guys took part in the 130k Attakwas(spelling?) on Sat en hulle se dit was n RILLER. HMM!! En dan moet n mens nog 7 dae van dit doen. Ek weet nie so mooi nie.

Well, as from next week we will have the Argus program running. Tuesday, Wed and Thursday during the week and Sat and Sun w/ends.

Go well,

ek

Good Morning,

Mid Jan already, scary to say the least. Most companies are back at work today so the roads are going to be pretty much back to normal which is not something to look forward to if u spend time on them. Do be careful!.

Still pretty laid back riding at this point in time. As previously mentioned, we will start the Argus schedule in a week or two but will still confirm the date.

As from this week, the week days start time is at 5.30am. That is Tuesday, Wed and Thursday.
I also mentioned in the last NL that we are loosing LIGHT TIME already, so please see that u all have working lights.

John would like to do a longish ride this coming Sunday, something in the order of 110 ks. Should u wish to do this with him please make sure that u have enough water etc. Easy LSD ride.

Yesterday saw the start of the new seasons League Races, the Three Passes. We were there but decided to do a coastal run to Simonstown, look for a Coffee Shop and relax and that’s exactly what we did. Got to the finish just in time to see the bunch sprint. Exciting to say the least.

Go well,

Ek.

Greetings,

Well, just about back to normal. Vaalies on their way home and most of us are back at the grindstone.

I trust u all had a good w/end, we did. Were up in Knysna (with Marelise, Carl and Alwyn) and did a back to back. Sat Knysna/ Uniondale and Sun Uniondale/ Knysna. Very interesting and wettish, but what a great experience.

As from next week as per popular demand, we will be starting at 5.30am in the mornings and still stick to 6.00am on w/ends. Believe it or not but we are already starting to loose day-light time so please get dem lights working.

Go well,

Ek.
