Good day to all the Wannabees

Being away this weekend past, Alf offered a report of the weekends riding. Thanks Alf.

Hi Danie

Just thought I would keep you informed, about the Cycling Buzz!!

The Wannabees have been out in full force ( with a few overseas visitors ) both Saturday and Sunday this weekend ( 18/19th December).

Saturday was a perfect day for our Rooiels Route. We were fortunate to have the company of http://www.gustizollinger.ch/ ,who was definitely firing on all cylinders!!

The Van de Merwe's ( Andre and his wife) rocked up late, but in style nogal, on a tandem!

The camera was out too, so you must check out the web for new pic of the ride!! Thanks to Deon for his skill and efficient nature!!

The ride ended on a cheery note at Dulce's and thanks to the Treasurer the coffees were on the house!

A misty ride, we had on Sunday, but this did not stop the Wannabee buzz. We did the Bottelery route and of course had punctures on the notorious Kuilsrivier Road. Two should I say!!

We were graced with Sascha's presence, late of course!!!

Clayton and Anna had competition on the Tandem today with a Dutch couple, apparently the guy was an Olympic cyclist!
Tim joined us for a while and then he was off like a FLASH!!

Coffee time was at In The Vineyard Restaurant, which is a beautiful setting and a good change!

Hope to see you on your bike soon!!

Had some queries re the riding schedules over the big/festive days.

As always I am sure there will be someone to ride with over the weekends and public holidays. So arrive 06h00 and introduce yourself. If a committee member is present, coordination will be from the comm. member.

This will be the last official BUZZ from me for 2010.

To each member and family, may only the best dreams become true, may only the best blessings be bestowed on your family and may good health and wisdom be your reward for 2011.

Until next time we see each other, PLEASE CYCLE SAFE

Good day to all the Wannabees

Yesterday’s club ride is what it is all about. Easy ride and lekka coffee and muffins. I think that the new venue fits in nicely with what we planned.

Thanks to Alf, Mandy and all for the arrangements.

Please see Alf’s letter re omissions.

We are entering the final stretch of 2010.

Cycling on the open road will be dangerous. Ride no more than 2 abreast and wear highly visible clothing.

Weekend cycling and public holiday cycling will continue as before. There will be visitors on the rides, make them feel welcome and get the safety issues through to them.
(Needless to say....set the example!!)

The mountain bike committee will be meeting before the New Year ends. We look forward to this part of the club’s activities and nice outrides in our wonderful area

So, log onto the website and look for updates.
