Hello alle Wannabees

Hope this letter finds you all well and fit.

Herewith the latest news and plans for this week

During the winter the club outrides will be on mountain bikes, this does not mean that the road riders are being left out…..read on

The club ride for this weekend will be the first mountain bike outride for the season.

Starting at Waterstone village at 07h30 Sunday the 24th of May.

Followed as per usual by coffee and muffins at DULCES and sponsored by the club

The ride will be +/- 2 hours. The route will be split up so as to accommodate all levels of riders

It will not be too difficult

The club members who would rather do a road ride can also join us at Dulces after 10h00 for a coffee and muffin. The roadies still start at 07h00

13th September

We are due to organise a league race in August. As before it will be a criterion type race. More in the next newsletter

Herewith some reminders.

The formal training during weekdays is now over but club rides will still be organised for Saturdays and Sundays with the starting time 07h00 at W/Stone village centre

On public holidays random rides from same venue at 07h00

Please ensure that you have good front and back lights on your bike

John has sent out a follow up info e-mail re the DC. Please read it and come to the training rides to get nice and fit and to place yourself in the appropriate team

Follow the DC news on the blog for the early winter training program

A training schedule similar to the Argus program will be worked out and will start late in September

Pieter is making up a lightweight windbreaker with a Wannabee logo on for use during the winter. We shall have a test unit at the Sunday ride. We need input from club members before final decision is made

Wannabee Entry forms for club membership are available at Maverick cycle shop and Helderberg Cycle world
