Good day to all the Wannabees

The long weekend turned out to be quite nice for riding

Friday John took a group to Franschhoek and back and Sunday we did a reverse Polka draai

Saturday some riders pitched in the south easter and moaned on Sunday about all the ninnies that are scared of our beloved summer wind.

There are still some riders who prefer a 7 o’clock ride. Alf at his age cannot seem to get up for the 6 o’clock ride and is thus the king of the 7o’clockkers. Thanks for looking after that group Alf.

Once again a taxi has managed to cause a crash which has left a group of riders injured and one rider dead. I have not seen the detail of the accident but this seems to be the background. We have also experienced this locally where they rush past you and then cut in front of you to pick up passengers.

We have had a few nominations for committee members. Please make sure that your nominated person is a member of the club and that he/she is willing to be a committee member.

Remember my view that we need new blood and that a big committee is better than a few who make all the decisions

We shall have a meeting soon when the AGM date will be set

We shall also soon start with the early morning training sessions.
