Michel’s father passed away after a long sickbed. We wish him and his family well and reassure them of our prayers in this difficult time

Saturday many WANNABEES competed in the Burger M/Bike race in windy conditions

Some die hards did a Wannabee ride via Bottelary road on Saturday morning. Most of us decided that the wind was too strong and stayed in bed.

But Sunday the wind settled and 14 members pitched for the easy M/Bike ride in wonderful conditions. This is really what it is all about for the slow ride. We did close on 3 hours of rolling hills in a jovial atmosphere topped up by coffee at Dulce’s.

Even Henri seemed to enjoy the slow ride. A spy told me that while we were drinking coffee, Henri was riding up and down Lord Charles hill just to get his heart rate up for a change. Thanks to Ralph and Anton for keeping things together

Marianne finished first in her age category in the 30 k race, but had 3 small ‘falls’ on the Sunday ride (which I am not allowed to mention.) Well done Marianne.

The Schapensberg trail will soon be open for club members to ride. Please contact a committee member before setting out on this route till further notice.

The next m/bike outride will be from Grabouw Country Club. Watch for dSetails on the WEB.

We get quite a few reminders of races via our e-mail. We will attach them to the web.

If you are keen on races and outings, remember to look at the PPA program, Amarider and also at the bicycle shops. Upcoming events are in Riebeeck kasteel and the Makadas events.
