Hello to all the Wannabees

With the ARGUS now done and dusted we can look forward to some rest until the next big one in November (DC)

Hope that all the riders achieved their goals. I did my PB (which means that it was my first). We have posted the times, of all the riders we could find, on the BLOG. If your name and time is not on the list, please contact us

If you have any special ARGUS stories or photos, please share with the other members. We will post it on the BLOG

Thanks to Charles for going through the whole finishers list and finding all the Wannabee names and getting it all ready in time for the BUZZ. Thanks also to every one who helped with the training program, setting it up, motivating the lazy ones and for those who assisted during the LSD rides. We always need willing marshals.

Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with the families of all the cyclists who died on our roads in the recent past. I hope that this will be the end of the carnage and that the winter will be accident free

I forgot to mention that Charles Nesbitt also competed in his 21st ARGUS. Well done Charles. He joins Jack and Hertzel as members of the 21 club

ON OUR DOORSTEP ONCE AGAIN, WE HAVE THE START OF THE EPIC.


One can follow the race on internet or drive out to a vantage point to see how fast the leaders really are. If you have not done this before, make an effort. It really is worthwhile.

AN URGENT APPEAL ONCE AGAIN TO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR M/AID DETAILS AND ICE CONTACT DETAILS ARE IN YOUR SADDLE BAG AND ON YOUR CELL

At the club ride we noticed some members who have not renewed their membership for 2010. If you have not received your membership card, you might have paid but we have not picked it up on the bank statements. Please contact Charles to rectify charlesnesbitt@woolworths.co.za

Our next club event will be the post ARGUS family ride and prize giving on Sunday the 28th of March. Details will be on the BLOG

Thanks to Ralph and Deon for offering help\with the Mountain bike rides and the setting up of a future website. We shall keep you posted

CLUB REMINDERS

Please remember to order the long sleeve cycling tops from Pieter. Winter is on the doorstep, do not get caught ‘cold armed’

The club will also present a hill climb/king of the mountain handicap race on the 1st of May. We hope to make this an annual event. Please diarise.
