Hi,

“Silence is golden they say but my eyes still see”, remember the song of yesteryear. I haven’t been silent just a little bit slack. Things have been happening for the good and bad.

The racing scene is on the boil, up country “PRO” teams invited down to show the locals how it’s done and with great sponsors coming to the party. One couldn’t really ask for more but alas the hiccups still abound.

Well, as far as C2H is concerned we are nearing the end of our first club year and with that, the traditional AGM is what closes/starts the clubs cycling calendar.

The AGM is scheduled for Wednesday the 19/11/08, 6.30pm at the Methodist Church Coronation Ave S/West and we would like “ALMAL” to be there.

It’s the time for everyone to take part in securing the future of the club. Your input and vote concerning issues is very, very important. Without “you”, the club member, there would be ZIP, ZERO, NOTHING.

The club is strong financially, membership growing by the day and lots of exciting things in the pipeline scheduled for the new season.

A new look committee with brand new ideas , innovative ideas, doing away with those that have reached their “Sell By date” can only bode well for the future of the club.

I will be stepping down as chairman and will be more than ably replaced by Danie Morkel. (Danie has made himself available for the next term of office). Anton has made himself available as Vice Chairman and we will need to nominate and appoint someone to head the Safety Portfolio as well.

If there are any other nominees for the abovementioned portfolios or anything that you as a club member would like to be put on the agenda please notify Charles Nesbitt before next week Monday(20/10/08) so that we can distribute such in the next Buzz. (charlesnesbitt@woolworths.co.za)
